Timmy, I know you love what ESPN tells you, but it's an over-valued position. Same as receiver.

Pass rushers, defensive tackles, safeties and linebackers > CBs in importance.

Just like I said two years ago, when every Dallas fan was in love with Dez and said they needed him. I said that Murray and Dez were expendable because of the offensive line they have. As long as they have a solid QB and RB, they're a contender.

WR's and CB's are not as important to a team's success as people think. They're great ADDITIONS, but they shouldn't be your CORE. The middle of defenses and offenses (and the closer to the line of scrimmage you are) the more important you are.

This is like basic football concepts.

Nah, its not over-valued at all. Good CB's are harder to come by as opposed to (most) other positions as well--which is another reason they're so important.

QB, LT, CB and pass rusher are the four most important positions

This is not even remotely true at all.

Prime example is the Indianapolis Colts.

What good is a great cornerback, like Vontae Davis, when you have NOBODY in the middle of your defense? When a team can push you around off of the line of scrimmage AT WILL.

If you have no rush defense, it doesn't matter how great your cornerbacks are, they'll be ineffective, cuz any average coach will run it down your throat if you don't have a SOLID line and linebacking corp.

    This is football 101, Timmy.

i'd go with derek carr, but it's a really tough decision. you could easily say brady or ryan

you could make an argument for the other 3 as well, i just don't think they deserve it as much as the first few guys i mentioned

Stafford, Carr, or David Johnson. It's an absolute joke he's not in that image but Ezekiel Elliot is

Edit: Dak Prescott shouldn't be there either. All he's doing is guiding a friendly offense and not making mistakes. He's done nothing extraordinary. This is why I hate the Cowboys so much, they're just like the Yankees. They play well for once and everyone wants to act like they're the best team over put together

Cards were expected to be a top team in the NFC and won't even make the playoffs, can't have serious talks about Johnson for MVP just for that reason alone, even if he's having a great individual season.

Ok but no one is running away with it this year unlike previous years. When Johnson has 1000+ rushing and 1000+ receiving, and leads the league in TD's scored he's going to have a better shot at winning MVP than Elliott and Dak. Cards will get a wild card spot and it'll be nothing different than AP winning in 2012.

Johnson is having a great year for sure but that only gets him potentially Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors in my opinion. As unfortunate as some people think it may be, MVP does take in to consideration how your team finishes. Johnson could dominate the rest of the season as well but if the Cards go .500 or below than I can't see him even sniffing MVP.

My point is he has a better shot than Elliott, therefore Elliott shouldn't be on that image, but he is on it only because he's a Cowboy

I'll agree with that for sure, even if you put Dallas at say 8-4, Dak is nowhere near the list and Elliot would get MVP love only from the Dallas area. Don't get me wrong Elliot is a beast but you put Peyton Hillis behind that line and I bet he goes back to 2010 form.

    Brady, Stafford or Carr.

Neither Dak or Zeke are the most important players on the Cowboys (although I'd choose Dak). Credit the offensive line, straight up. They're one of the most dominant groups I've seen in years.

dang, harrison smith is out sunday with a severe ankle sprain. they haven't officially ruled him out for the season, but they're saying its a bad injury and he'll likely miss more than just the game against the jaguars.

another crucial player for the vikings goes down :emoji_slight_frown:

I just wish we could stop calling the Cowboys "America's Team" lol they have 1 playoff game in the last how many years now? And now I'm seeing more Cowboy fans than ever because they're doing good now.

As much as Eagles fans complain about drops, the Raiders and Derek Carr still lead the league in drop yardage missed. It's impressive that Carr is having the year he is with all of the drops. It seems like there's 3 big ones every game.

Wow Red Rum is f---ing furious he couldn't make the playoffs in a fantasy league where half the people didn't try, TPK was in, and having the first pick in the draft
