    Yo the whole theory of him telling this from a friends perspective makes way too much sense to just be a theory. Its all over twitter and seems like that's the way to look at the album. Its not from his prospective, but from the friends eyes about his daughter.

Mr. Cole, you have arrived. Welcome to fatherhood. Welcome to the married life. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. I understand that a lot of brothas get older but never grow up. You taught us that in your younger days. Now you teaching us to be a father to your kid. Make life easier for your wife. Be loyal to your friend even when your friend is no longer living.
