yo i have a legit question, how many days are you guys gonna listen to this album before you think you're sick of it?

anyone see themselves listening to this in heavy rotation for years to come, or do you guys think once you've digested the story, there's only so many times you can go back and listen top down?

this isn't really a singles driven album either where you're like "oh i feel like listening to she's mine pt 1", it's more of a top down 45 minute experience for me.

i think this is a good album, but that's my only gripe with it.

yeah don't see myself going out of the way to listen to a single track much. this one of those albums where i can enjoy it the most by running it the whole way thru.

word, even tho it adds to the story i really don't think ti was crucial for the story

if it was a great song that would be excusable but its not

definitely cud had a better song in that slot

Not an everyday listen for me. I will probably only listen to this album when I want to hear the entire album. This the first day of release and I probably won't listen anymore for like 5-6 days.

I agree, i don't think i'll find myself listening to some of the tracks alone aside from the favorites
One thing i really like is that listening to it as a whole doesn't feel too bad since the album is pretty short
Kinda like Jeffery, except Jeffery is full of those standout tracks that you can just listen to anywhere anytime

word jeffery was amazing in that sometimes i would just want to start playing at, floyd mayweather for example, because it was stuck in my head. and then i'd just let it play top down because it was so f---ing good.

young thug got a classic with that album i think

I think I have to be in the right mood to listen to it, I'm proud as a fan he managed to make something like this but I don't see myself revisiting this as much. I think we can all agree Change & the title track are probably among the 2 best songs of his career.

I have this false hope that Cole put this project out because he was in a creative zone, kind of what Drake did with If you're reading this.

This album could be a holdover for a bigger project.

ones things for sure that can't be denied is Cole put together something which critics might like ... although he definitely didn't do it for that reason

what i mean by that is just like the cohesive sound throughout the album which also happens to be a sound which we haven't really heard from him or anyone really before (he brought a new sound + used it throughout the album)

and also the theme of course

its a definite PROJECT but like you guys are saying is it one that will stand the test of time?

i really think he has to follow up with another album pretty soon tbh, imo

perfect time for kendrick collab to come in febraury 2017 if you ask me :khaled:

Agreed he took a huge step with this album, and full credit to him for piecing all his tools together on this.

But I think he sacrificed longevity to make something easily consumable. I think he wanted the acclaim, and his concepts & themes on FHD were there (he admitted it) but it took someone with a certain level of intelligence (:laff:) to piece it together.

@Mike Tyson don't disagree with your point that it's better to listen all the way thru. But that also happens to be what I do anyways. I got that tendency from being old enough to collect CDs. But yeah most people don't listen to music that way.
