It's all good if y'all don't like Drake because he got help on hooks and cadences when he was playing the game from a positional perspective, more power to you.

Controlla is still a better song than anything on this album

But this isn't a real knock on music, since like Ice Cube said when asked about Drake, who cares. You rate a song on the final product, not the process in which it was made. It's an issue with artists like Diddy because his album are covers of full songs made by more capable artists. This is not the same thing what so ever.

If there's a seed of doubt in your mind, and that ruins Drake for you, then I'm sorry to hear that. I don't give a f--k how many co-producers there are on J. Cole's joints, I don't care who laced the violin, I don't care who rolled the blunt, I don't care who threw Cole 3 words to help strengthen a bar, I don't care who wrote the hook.

This is standard industry practice, this is how music is made. But us being the moral judges of what is and is not allowed is funny to me. Bruh we're here to enjoy the final product, not reduce capable artists based on conceptions of how we THINK music should be made lol.

But I didn't say that changes the quality of the final product. I said it changes how I feel yes. All that standard industry practice doesn't make it better to me, considering Drake is supposed to be one of the GOATs and considering he himself was bragging about writing his own bars on Fear. I get it people change and him having outside opinions is dope and I honestly believe thats what makes him so great is that he's open. But there's a limit for me personally, he can do whatever he wants. n----s talk about Marvin's Room so much, and you say you don't care who writes s--- but is it cool with you if he doesn't write "marvin's room" or if you find out he didn't write "Look What You've Done?' Of course its f---ing different because now the artist ain't having a genuine conversation with you. You are talking to a generic template rather than getting a true piece of someone's mind and thats what separates this rap s--- from pop generic bs. Knowing that those are those artists thoughts, views, etc. makes it all the more powerful to me and yes it still good music whether or not he writes but it definitely affects how I view him as an artist and he's still one of my favorites period.

Maybe you right but thats not how I interpret it whatsoever. To me he's literally saying, I could have others help me but Ill never share my thoughts to let anyone help/I don't need him I write this myself. Thats what it sounds like to me.

Word, for me, this man wrote every anthem for me from the ages of like 20 to 26 now. Take Care and Nothing Was The Same are enough for me to consider him one of my favourite of all time.

I don't know about all that "GOAT" talk tho. The GOAT in my eyes, Jay-Z, hasn't made a good album for 9 years now.

I liked Foldin Clothes from the first listen and that won't change for me. Its the levity in a rather serious, heavy album.

That's just mentally salvaging a clear miss tho.

Horribly executed track. Deja Vu is correct way to balance a heavy album. Perfectly balances Immortal and Ville Mentality.
