jermaines interlude actually woulda fit on here :khaled:

ties in well with for whom the bell tolls

woulda thrown people off even moe if its from his perspective or the street guy

wonder if cole regrets giving it to khaled :khaled:

what if jermaines interlude was the second song on the album (after for whom the bell tolls) and then right at the end of the verse where he says "now i play with thoughts of retirement" ... it just cuts off and theres like ten seconds of silence ...

and then bam third song is immortal

    :khaled:

    that actually woulda worked

Wonder if Ab-Soul mentioning the collab album pissing Cole and Kendrick off.

Like I know they wanted to drop the album out of nowhere, but now people are talking about it because of Soul.

From production to flow, to storytelling, I think you could argue that Neighbors is the best song on this album.

I dont remember where i seen i but...
Cole wud be a dog on a rap group lol

Its like his intentions r really dope as a artist but he almost always falls short in some areas in this regard

    Being in a group wud:
    1. Give em another rappers perspective on songs, themes, execution , etc
    2. Let him focus on raps more... when i say this i mean a couple diff ways: Not only wud it allivate some of the stress of carrying an entire record, But it also forces u to really go into depth when u got another talented dude talking about the smae topic,

Put it like this im taking a writing course rn.. in our pieces our pf. talks about including concrete particulars right. Meaning using desciptive language that is not typically associated w/ said topic, all the while (eventually) implicating some, or all 5 senses in some shape or fashion. This really puts a scope onto what ur ulterior motive is behind the masquerade of words from a writers perspective and beef for the audience to chew on... This wasnt my intent to plug dude but K.dot EXCELS at this (even if u not a fan of dude this does not need to be explained further)... tooooo many times Cole is guilty of skating through a multitude of generic a--- surface level a--- bars... sad to say it but this album doesnt deviate much from this... No strung out theory is gonna excuse this for me (ie keep this in mind b4 reading further) espeically when this immaculate theory is supposed to ellevate the project not hinder, constrict, or come at the expense the project. period.

Like some of his best artistic moments on the album are some of his worst songs lol...foldin clothes dope a--- record regarding the vibe nd feel(some outcast aquemini s---) but the lyrics almost gotta be ingnored half the time.. unacceptable... BTW that last verse... n----s completely disregarded that song when that verse IMO is some of the most important s--- on the album... missed opportunity here call it a improper metaphor use or whatever but man only 10 songs nd with a cold a--- verse/outro u gotta do better

Then u got that hook on Ville Mentality.. tht s--- dnt even sound like cole..first listen i was killing myself tryna figure who that was.. i gotta say that was immaculate... then the rest of the joint kinda fads off for lack of better words. This felt like a missed opportunity to me that energy on the hook was really dope to see from dude but the momentum doesnt carry out

Like both these songs minor tweaks away from being f---ing great. He got the elements to be a f---ing legend but just feels like something off bout every.single.album. FOR ME

Im not listening to any of his albums religiously after a good 2 weeks. @Mike Tyson said it b4 I cud realize it. This album is cool for what it is, but i think, deep down we all think this, but the cole we first heard, the self proclaimed "chosen one" goes away for years at a time to deliver us 2 week classics. Classics long enough that make us remember why we love the cole from 2009/2010, but avg enough to call em above avg, weeks later when most times even thats a stretch man

Ironic enough i feel like prime cole jumping around like this not sticking to one objective being all nondescript but idgaf yall can blame cole for that lmaoo. I really just wanted to point out what we already knew: Cole nd Kendrick wud go together like peanut butter/jelly, tom brady nd randy moss, shaq nd kobe, whatevr u wanna call it. They cud easily rival anything OutKast, whos s--- is better than anything out rn if yall aint on that idk what to tell u, has ever laid a rhyme on.

These n----s needa put all ego, label disputes or all that other s--- aside nd charge it to the game cause the game sure as h--- needs it.

I just wanna thank @Mike Tyson for his post nd the inspiration that transpired into this long a--- piece of s---.

I don't think we need a Kendrick and Cole album. They both good on their own.

Like half the album can be played as standalones: Immortal, Deja Vu, Change, Neighbors, Foldin Clothes. They sound better on the context of the album, but can be played alone,

I can't see myself listening to the other 4 songs as standalones though, just when I listen to album top-down.

But I listen to entire album anyway.
