Ville Mentality so d--- catchy. I've been humming that s--- all d--- day.

Asked this before but to any person who may know the answer.... How does Cole get away with not putting a feature on this track? That can't be him singing "How long can I get away with this mentality?"

I don't think I can keep rhythm or know a thing musicaly, but still understood this.
Thing I can really appreciate is when a person explains a thing to you on the most simple level so you can get it. That also means that person really knows what he is doing. Clap for @Bliss. We need to subscribe to Bliss Lessons asap

Yeah that's what I thought. I think he has production credit but d--- this man is literally singing the course yet it says Cole is the only one on the track. Crazy lol

Am I the only one who heard James Pittman jr instead of McMillan?

Anyone have the lyrics to the background harmony during the hook on Deja Vu?

Asking for a friend who's been humming nonsense while folding clothes and baking cookies at his girl's place all weekend...

I honestly don't know. All I hear is "I got" at beginning of each bar but I'm pretty sure the rest is nonsense so him and Cole are on the same page. Whats your thoughts on the album so far?

Finally got around to listening to Ab's album after listening to Cole's album so much and it's actually really dope. If anyone like Control System, you should listen to this album. I was skeptical about listening because I bought These Days because I loved Control System and it let me down, but his new album would have been a great follow up to Control System.

I love the fact Ab's and Cole's albums are opposite of each other, but both albums are quality.

Yeah that melody is so fire but I can't make out any words. Maybe it's somewhere in the lyric sheet in the album cover.

As far as the album goes, I think it's by far his strongest album. Every song fits neatly into the narrative. I'm glad he finally had songs on an album that aren't standalone intended, and mostly serve to augment the album narrative. He definitely pushed himself both lyrically and creatively. And I think this is the first album where he successfully conveyed fully and exactly what he wanted to say.

Time will tell but it may be first classic as far as I see it so far. Also agree that this album fuels the collab hype even more.

I'm pissed I missed the discussion on mixing and mastering. I'm a recording and mixing engineer, and that's probably the only gripe I have with the album. All the deep cuts sound amazing, but the more hip-hop stuff has his vocals really far forward, and I understand the purpose of it, but the beats lack that punch as a result so it's a missed opportunity in my opinion.

d--- you an engineer? I didn't know that bro that's dope af. JCN got so many talented people for real. Yeah and I concur with a lot of what you said for real. Think he could have done some things better but I'm proud of him.

I don't know for sure, but I just realized this girl on the back cover is probably who the album is for.

It could be. Elite said that the girl from Ville Mentality is from when Cole visited a school in NC and he recorded the conversation

Fam, the length is another beautiful thing about this album. I can play it front to back uninterrupted at home to do any little thing quick. Or when I go to and from work. Just perfect lol.

can someone help me understand Deja Vu

By far the worst song on the album. The beat doesn't feel right compared to the rest of the production on the album, Cole's flow does not fit in the song, the song doesn't add much to the overall story.

At the very least I hope this song is a hit. Doubt it though

He should have replaced it with Folger's Crystals or something
