Dec 10, 2016 I hear ya. I can totally see why people hated the accent but when done right, it adds a level of technicality that makes the verse even better. Unfortunately he relied on the accent wayyyy too much and it got tiresome. He should have used them sparingly and sporadically because when done right, they can be mind blowing verses. While I love the over technical rhymes, I've been listening to older stuff lately and it would be a welcomed change of pace if he dumbed them down just a little and get back to creating pictures and visions of what's he's rapping about. Dumb it down just a little and smooth it out. Do a little layering and he's back in that sweet spot again.

Maybe he thought it was a d-ck move dissing Nelly or he thought it wasn't worth his full attention. Artists do not have the necessity to please beef-monger fans, calling Em soft shows someone's real superficiality when judging an artist. They are people, bro.
