honestly, the more time passes, the less optimistic I get about the album, bcuz whenever he spends all day in studio, the music becomes boring and complex as f---...

I recall that he doesn't like his older classics that much (and my explanation is bcuz he find them too basic).

That's a huge reason his recent work doesn't sound natural... not instantaneous and so try hard

Also his lifelessness doesn't help the music having spirit

I swear, if this album didn't turn out classic production, flow, and lyrics wise.. I'm going to stop myself being a stan.. he doesn't have any excuses

Some valid points made in ur post. He still makes music that I love to listen to. It's always so exciting to have new Eminem but he will never be releasing classics like he did back in the days. Don't expect something like the first 3 albums in terms of quality.

Actually, the problem is not his lyrics. The real problem is him tryin' too hard to sound complex and he forgot how to flow on a beat. He always tries to make as much rhymes as possible even if it makes him f--- up the flow. Another problem is that he is using wack production and this one is connected to his flowing issue

I mean if all the songs Medicine Man and Evil Twin qualitiy, I'd be more than satisfied... sure they aren't SSLP rawness, but they are dope and 'Eminem'

I feel like I’m still trying to. And sometimes I don’t know if that’s always a good thing. I don’t want to make it so that by the time I’m done with a song, you didn’t even understand what just happened. That’s what I try not to do. I’m my own worst nightmare in that sense.

Because you’re so technically proficient that you can take it to a place where faster and more complicated isn’t always better?

Yeah, that’s what I mean. Sometimes that’s cool, if the song calls for it. But if I end up starting to record for another album, I want to make sure I approach it the right way.

Don't want Em to get too complex for the overall sound of the album, but I would love to see just how technical he can actually get if that's all he's aiming to do. Let him get out all the lyrical miracle s---..I reckon he could take it to a whole new level

He's gonna have a balance of technical and emotional like always. Hopefully no filler tracks which is my only issue with some of his albums.

I just want well-balanced, cohesive album with replay value. If you took out a few of the tracks from MMLP2 & added in some from the bonus disc, it'd be more recognised as a classic imo.
