Get Rich Or Die Tryin' is easily better than The Eminem Show. Don't know about the other ones. But I will say it has the most replay value out of any Shady/Aftermath/Interscope project to date.

Great post agree with much of it.
Eminem still attempting to be Slim Shady at 44 is embarrasing at this stage too. Hoping the new album is more similar to Recovery than MMLP2 or Relapse.

Holy s---, this guy gets it! I also love Postion of Power but it's not my favorite 50 Cent song. I have several favorite songs but gun to my head I'm always picking Your Life's On The Line!

When that first chorus kicks in?!? f--- me.

    "Nobody likes me
Nobody likes me, but that's okay
    Cause I don't like y'all anyway
    And I don't like y'all anyway
    f--- all y'all!
My watch talk for me, my whip talk for me
    My gat talk for me
    BLAOW
    What up homie
For b------s who don't know me
They want to blow me 'cause the s--- I floss wit is sayin a lot for me"

Then 50's opening line to the first verse:

    "I came into rap humble, I don't give a f--- now"

s--- still gives me chills. This is my favorite 50 song of all time. Between Power of the Dollar, Guess Who's Back mixtape, GRODT, and Massacre, there was no one coming close to 50's hook game. f--- man, he literally killed every hook!

Here's the vid for those who haven't heard it.

    Edit:
For the record, my 2nd favorite 50 track is probably Da Repercussions. I go through phases where this song gets played multiple times in my whip when I'm driving around town. f---ing love that s---.

"If a nickel bag sold in the park, I want in on it!
The bs I'm on right now n-----, I been on it!"

Gets me every single time. Classic reference to Frank White (Christopher Walken) in King of New York.

maybe my favourite from Get Rich. I know 50 doesn't smoke.

I still remember the first time I saw In Da Club back in 2003 when I was 12 on tv. Back then the way I found out about new music was on the music channels like MTV Base,The Box & Kiss some uk members might know those channels. Good times.

Don't disagree at all. definitely still enjoy the first 3 Em albums and don't rate them any lower than what I always have though.

    Jan 25, 2017
I agree... except for the fact that it hasn't.

50 sucks a---. This album is good but only due to production and hooks, he's a cringing lyricist and rapper.

If you just mean purely from a sound perspective... like it doesn't sound old or dated... maybe compared to SSLP. But not MMLP or TES.

Em's rapping and energy overshadows his production and stops his s--- sounding old too.

to be fair I think he only does this because people WANT him to. like sure, we may want him to change direction but if you look at the rest of the fanbase as a whole. there's still a s--- ton who are constantly saying "We want the Eminem who doesn't give a f--- who will straight up diss everyone and say some edgy s---".

I'd be willing to bet there are more people who want the "Slim Shady" s--- than not. it all depends on what part of his fanbase he wants to please more I guess?
