What the h--- happened to his mixing?? I remember reading an article around the time Recovery came out which included a long interview of Eminem's engineer/mixer. It said that this dude has been recording Eminem for like 15 years or something crazy like that. He did say that Eminem always knows exactly what he wants his lyrics to sound like. I find it weird that the mixing quality has gone to s---. I wonder if Em has been experimenting with new stuff and is intentionally or unintentionally messing up the sound quality? I find it so strange a mega superstar like him is having so many issues with recording/mixing quality. Doesn't make any sense honestly.

Em mixed much of the eminem show. The voice sounds great but the sound is sometimes not perfectly mixed like on soldier. But he probably just recorded it too loud.

Great question. I thought I remember seeing an interview where he said he temporarily stopped working on it to work on a different album that goes in a different direction. But after this album he was gonna go back to GOAT 2. This is all from memory. I'll try to find that interview to make sure I didn't dream it and I'm not making this all up haha.

I put G.O.A.T. 2 on hold. It was good but I didn’t feel like it was ready yet. I am working on another project that will be real special. If people like that freestyle [on Dr. Dre's show], they’re gonna go crazy over this album. It’s going to change a lot of what’s going on out there. People will take a second look at what they’ve been listening to after it comes out.
