Wayne is easily recently more influential than Tupac as far as rap overall. Rappers today maybe grew up on Pac, but the actual music they made was based more on sounds like more recent works by people like Wayne and aslo Kanye, using sounds based on 808's or Carter III rahter than sounds like All Eyez on Me

Wayne influenced the rap game 100x more than Tupac did just like Young Thug influenced the rap game 100x more than Tupac did. Tupac and his story being inspirational has nothing to do with influencing the landscape of rap. What Ja Rule? So many rappers were born from Wayne/Thug

I just meant as an overall influence, not style or anything.
    I agree with that

Lol @ placing your own opinion on a rapper as justification for thinking he hasn't created rappers straight out the womb

Xmipod out here pretending mumble trap rap doesn't exist simply because he doesn't like it
Guys like Thug/Future/Migos created a genre within a genre... Tupac didn't do s--- but promote the concept of "f--- the Police" which was already a staple of rap music/culture

Migos is actually really influential to the current direction of popular trap. Versace changed the whole game with that Drake feature and the fresh style of it

I don't think Pac is influencing much of this generation at all compared to the previous one. He's a GOAT, but his power of influence has passed it's time already. That's why imo Wayne is more influential, as he's still relevant lol.
