I'm not taking credit away from either guy, I just think Stevens is on another level, especially with the lack of pure talent he has to work with.

He started off so far behind Kerr or Spoelstra did too. Before Kerr, Golden State was a playoff team for two years. Sure, Kerr put them over the edge and into a juggernaut, but he was inherited with talent.

Spoelstra started off with LeBron, Wade and Bosh. Since LeBron's departure? 1 playoff appearance in 3 years. And he still had Wade (although he slowed down a lot) until this year.

Stevens inherited a team that traded away their entire identity, and gave him nothing really to work with. The Brooklyn picks were not guaranteed to be anything, and we traded our one star (Rondo) for Jae Crowder and then another trade for IT. Ironically, when we traded Rondo away, is when we took the next step.

I can't even imagine how good this team will be in 3-5 years, when players like Fultz, Brown and maybe even Smart develop. Plus, if they somehow get Hayward, or even a player that can f---ing rebound lol.

Just to add, I'll judge Spoelstra off of next year more than this year. I'm not putting him on Stevens' level until he shows consistency, and since Stevens has improved the Celtics every year since taking over.

Gotta love people's overreactions after one game, saw someone talking bout Bron say 'not better than MJ' then someone else responded with 'He's not even better than Scottie!' Lmao...

Anyways the most important stat of the night is the Celtics are still undefeated in the conference finals with @Fitzy rocking the Brady avy.

Amazing how the guy who could go down as the GOAT has playoff games where it seems he just doesn't give a s---, not like today is the first one. Even last year's finals while his numbers were good he didn't seem engaged till after game 4 when Klays comments pissed him off.

As far as today though, Bron and the cavs probably figured it was gonna be another easy W once they got up 20+..

Lebron's greatest weakness is probably his mental game. It's not as bad as it used to be, but if a team defends him like a bunch of rabid dogs, he'll start overthinking his shots. Most teams don't put up the effort. The Celtics did. And as I said before, when Lebron plays bad, his team loses. That's the key. These playoff teams can beat the rest of the Cavs as long as Lebron is somewhat neutralized.

I sincerely doubt the Celtics will be able to do it again, let alone three more times. But stranger things have happened.

how do you think Smart would do as a starting 1 for an entire year? Maybe you guys flip IT for some paint presence, sign Hayward, and roll with a Fultz/Smart backcourt.

I understand Westbrook will win MVP but I don't understand the logic behind it. Since when did averaging a triple double mean you have to win MVP. What would have happened if he averaged 30 9.9 ast and 9.9 reb? What happens when he averages a triple double again next season?

He might not, Harden was the only player to get 100/100 1st team all NBA votes.

@Modest what's your NBA team by the way? Don't recall you ever saying, then again you've only been here since the playoffs started I think.

You could have made the argument Durant has a better shot selection but a better shooter lmfao?? Have you actually watched Kobe pre 2014?
