Jun 5, 2017 Do ppl on here like Medicine Man? Surprised to not hear it mentioned.. I like that, Fine Line, Vegas and maybe Best Friend the most. I don't like that its about god but his flows are really impressive on it.

Jun 6, 2017 I think it fits; its not the only dark/angsty moment on the album. His screaming is a tired complaint particularly in a discussion about post-Recovery material, and especially since the subject matter of that song seems to justify the kind of energy in its delivery; at least, more so than screaming about manhole covers and cans of butter.

Jun 6, 2017 you yell and scream when you're mad though, not reflecting on your life. his voice is also insufferable on it. "SOWAI ROSENGREWBAWLS" i know it's "so i rose and grew balls" but it just sounds s---, like absolute s---. if you read the lyrics off paper, then fine maybe they aren't bad. But an album titled Compton featuring some "deep" or "emotional" verse from a screaming detroit ex-junkie does not fit on the album at all.
Jun 6, 2017 I wouldn't consider anything before the sniper-scope line to be yelling--a huge amount of Recovery/MMLP material was much louder. That said, your point about suiting the theme of the album makes more sense after clarification; I haven't listened to it in awhile tbh. I just felt it was a coherently written and delivered verse, minimal bars shoehorned in for the sake of riding out a rhyme scheme (ala Right For Me, Campaign Speech, No Favors etc). Anyway thanks for explaining your stance!
