Because he was appearing on a lot of pop magazines and because of his look and the blonde hair and s---, so he lashed out to try and separate himself from them. Not saying he actually thinks any of those artists are dope, but that doesn't mean he automatically thinks any pop artist is trash. I think using Rihanna for Love the Way You Lie was actually a stroke of genius, due to the content and contrast of those two. Just like performing in Elton John, a song which explains his real position on his content... in response to GLAAD. But, the 10 million songs after that just cheapened the initial brilliance. And then it just became 'doing songs with Rihanna to make hits'. Which is corny. Em normally likes doing things other people don't - as well. Like, going against the grain. When did he become so conformist. Rihanna is like THEE collaboration artist of this era and he's done so many collabs with her now. He used to mind being that predictable.
Jun 21, 2017 You can tell as well. The songs are lasting, and enjoyable. Such a shame that all that hard work was wasted with how it was put together though. Should have been his 4th classic for sure, given the caliber of material.
