Aug 15, 2017 also i could have moved out about a year ago but my dad doesn't really want me to cuz i'm able to help out at the house a lot and be there for my younger siblings when he's not around since he's the only parent. i turn 20 in Sept so not sure how much longer I'm gonna want to stick around home but if he needs it I'll do it.
Aug 15, 2017 I didn't pay rent but when I had a job while living at home I did help pay bills we were behind on or buy groceries. She never asked me to tho
Aug 15, 2017 Yea they are called losers Well yea same here. I think that's a pretty upright thing to do as well as fix s--- around the house or help out in general. Only reason id probably charge my son to live at the house once he's 18 is if he refused to help in anyway and just exhibited general loser qualities.
Aug 15, 2017 True but people who refuse to do stuff or help out (even without asking) are even bigger losers.
Aug 15, 2017 Me : "Never...I'm never going to move out..". Me : "You failed mother... I'm a leech, like my father before me!" Mom : "So be it... If you cannot be turned...you will be destroyed!" Mom : "now child...you will die..."
Aug 15, 2017 think about this: 20 years old is very young. that's only a couple years out of high school. the vast majority of people at 20 years of age aren't making much money. in other words, it takes time for people to become established. i mean sure there are people who move out at 20 years of age and sometimes younger, but its going to make it very, very hard on that person because people of that age typically aren't qualified to have jobs that pay good money. that's why i don't understand your thinking at the end of the day though, the age you move out isn't that big of a deal. people have different situations/issues. oh, and @El Ares i have a cousin who is in his mid thirties and lives at home but he has to because he has schizophrenia
