    Anyone else in the service or used to be? I’m shipping off in 2 weeks for Ft Benning for Army as a Tanker. If you are, give a youngin some life hacks in the military.

    Speaking from an Air Force perspective, I learned to make the best out of every duty station and every country I lived/worked in. I assume you just finished basic? I'll be honest, your first year or so is gonna be a lot of "hurry up and wait" type of s---, meaning hurry up and do this and wait for the next thing or person to tell you what to do. Other than that, stay in shape, stay focused on your goals and enjoy it. It will be one of the best experiences of your life if you do the right things.

    Been In for two years.
    Basic training tips.... go as long as you can without the drill SGTs knowing who you are. Don't steal food and try to hide it. They will find it. Better start exercising now for your PT test if you feel like you are not in shape.

    Drill SGT's main goal is to break you down as a civilian and rebuild you as a soldier. You and your platoon are gonna butt heads ALOT, don't fight any of em.

    And most importantly... DONT BE A f---ing SNITCH DAWG. Forreal. n----s in basic training be snitching for brownie points with the drill SGTs.

    I am not in the military my self, but a lot of my family is or has been. One thing they say is the wish they learned a relevant skill so they could get a good job out of the military. My cousin is 28 and in artillery regiment, he doesn't really enjoy it but the thing stopping him quitting is he doesn't have skills for a good job, he would pretty much have to start his career like hes 18 and fresh out of school.

    So i suggest making the most of the education options available while in the army.
