Oct 27, 2017 i love this album, I think its better than love story and i think many people overrate love story just a tad bit love story was very country sounding but focused a lot on singing and trial by fire developed that country sound even further but yela focused on rapping, and that's what i want this album has to be a 8.5 at least, ive never been so awestruck by a few new songs before 0.0;

Oct 27, 2017 it really sounds like he went in another direction after love story, he still sounds country of course but hotel and trial by fire sound much different than anything else hes ever put out, this almost sounds like the most experimental hes ever been and just for the record, hotel and trial by fire > love story, trunk muzik etc
Oct 27, 2017 Love Story was not flawless but it was a great f---ing album. I'm just listening to TBF now so I'll judgement for a day or two. Edit: I'm nearing the end, so far the abolute best ones have been Daylight, Row your boat and Shadows. Rest seems uninspired for now but I'm gonna let this play for a few days still.
Oct 27, 2017 At first, the album sounded too country for me (tbh I would skip the singles he's already put out) but when it's listened to in its entirety, it's a very good mixture of both. The songs that weren't heard until it dropped were the ones with heavy country sound (most of them anyway) so that's why I felt that way initially. Idk maybe it's just me
Oct 27, 2017 Listened all the way through. My favorite after one listen is row your boat. Overall I was way more impressed with Lovestory than TBF after the first listen. Maybe this will grow on me though.
Oct 27, 2017 What I hate the most is that we heard a handful of the songs already. Wish he had more new ones on here Only really hate 2 songs... Ride or Die is my favourite no doubt. Can't see that changing
