There is no beat actually at the end of the song. Why people act like there is. It's just bunch of scratches and it gets cut just when the real beat starts to kick in.

THis song could shine in live performance with some stage show (maybe a skit and good stage design and scene) and maybe some live instruments can easily be added as the song progresses.

The last two verses are fu-king classic. I've listened at least 20 times to it and the song get's better and better. Yes, you can't bump that s--- in your car, it's not catchy and the production is minimal, but this is a statement from him how he felt about his struggle with his current content over the last years and i'm loving it.

The rhyme has to be perfect, the delivery flawless
And it always feels like I’m hittin' the mark

Am I reaching or are there a few lines where Em doesn't finish the rhyme but leaves it for the listener to do it, like "it's true, I'm a Rubbick's" where "cube" would rhyme with "true"

I really like this track, I think mostly because it sounds fresh, new or different in some way. Mature more than anything I guess. I actually think the biggest problem of post-hiatus Em is that he has tried to hard to be what he was. I don't want the old Eminem; I already own all his old albums. At this point I would love to hear the new "4:44 Eminem", and after hearing this song that's what I feel like we're getting.

Gave this a proper listen today. I think it’s an admirable effort at making a introspective, vulnerable song. However it comes across more as a statement/PSA as opposed to an actual song. The piano sounds really bleak and the chorus sounds like it was just pasted onto it (plus Beyonce and Eminem don’t really mesh vocally). The track isn’t cohesive at all. Compare this to When I’m Gone, similarly heartfelt but so much better from a musical standpoint. But who knows, maybe this is just the intro (then again, if that’s the case then why release it as a single). I get what he was trying to do in the end, but not sure the reversed Calm Down sample was the best choice. Made it seem a bit random instead of delivering the punch it should. Curious about how this song ties into the albums narrative.

Actually judging what he says it is a bit self indulgent and whiney. It seems sincere but I think a lot has to due with his artistical lazyness. Kanye also released a lot of music but always reinvented himself by crossing unknown territory and experimenting. Eminem is always working with the same people and is known to run concepts into the ground, very much a reactionary artist as opposed to being an innovator/driver. I think this is his biggest flaw.
