Nov 13, 2017 and I am a major dumbass because of this This s--- is one of the dopest albums I have ever heard...I don't know how it escaped me, mostly because I have always gravitated to provocative gangsta rap when it comes to 90s hip hop, but thankfully I am always trying to push my rap palette so to speak and try to encompass more and more albums under my belt. I always knew of this album and some of its popular tracks, but refrained from seeking it out and listening in full until now and of course regret it. What are some notable classic records that you guys avoided listening to whether on purpose or passively that you finally listened to and enjoyed Maybe there are some current known classics that you've missed because it doesn't seem to appeal to you? Take the jump and listen to all you can if you have time because eventually you'll hit something you'd wished you heard forever ago This is what love about hip hop, there are always new styles, artists and albums for you to catch up on recommend the album to everyone
Nov 13, 2017 I remember finally listening to Common's Be in my last year of college (2013-2014) and being blown away that I hadn't listened earlier since I'm a huge kanye fan and it's basically a Kanye-Common collab album (with Kanye producing the whole thing and rapping on almost half of the album). According to my itunes the date it was added to my computer is 7/16/09, which is when I bought my first laptop and transferred all my music from my family's desktop computer (I'm on my second laptop but I when I transferred my library to my newest laptop I figured out how to take all the playcount/date added/etc, but didn't do that during my first transfer to my first laptop). Basically the point was this album was sitting on my computer since as early as 2007 without me having listened to it.
