Dec 3, 2017 For me a definitive yes. Recovery was decent so MMLP2 hype was not bad. Relapse was his comeback album. But Revival with the s--- Prescription promo & with WoW gaving no replay value(it's more like a speech than a song). Eminem's music has been terrible for years now but along with no promo I think it is the least anticapted Eminem album ever. Maybe it could work in his favour & he somehow might surprise me.
Dec 3, 2017 I was anxious and hyped for the album around the time Walk On Water was released. He had a week or two there to use the opportunity. Now I don't feel anything. This is the first time I've been aware of an Eminem album about to be released that I feel absolutely nothing.
Dec 3, 2017 I'm hyped but not overly so which is good expectations are at a minimum in terms of quality, but I expect to hyped when it leaks/drops because we basically know nothing about this album and that's exciting
Dec 3, 2017 I dont think I have ever been more unsure of what to expect from an Eminem album. Relapse was hype, recovery was hype. Mmlp2 was hype but I had a strong feeling it would be a disappointment. With this one I have absolutely no f---ing clue what to expect or what direction it is going in. Walk on water was a weird first single choice and this marketing has been quite odd.
Dec 3, 2017 The album doesn't get heavy promoted. It's like Em and his camp has so much trust in the material they think it doesn't need heavy promotion.Even after Walk on water not being a hit they keep it on a low.I think Wow is like the heart part 4 a promotional track.Em took the song as a chance to let the world know how he feels about certain things before he releases his new album. If Wow was really the big first single then why would they announce the release date if the single flopped. We better get our s--- together next friday because he will release the first song of Revival and probably the cover art
Dec 3, 2017 Yes, mainly due to what each album meant (from '09 on) before it: Relapse: Comeback album Recovery: Happened quickly, and Not Afraid felt like he was on the right track MMLP2: I mean, he had the balls to title the album as a sequel to one of his greatest albums. Berzerk didn't hype me up much, but the album title seemed bold. Revival: Accents, shouting/cheap puns, then choppy flow over his last three albums. WoW was just OK. So, I'm being cautious at this point.
Dec 3, 2017 Easily. Nothing points to it being good. Low hype might be a good thing though, lowering expectations, but they have been at an all time low since about 2014.
Dec 3, 2017 In a way yes, he hasn't given us too much to get us really excited although I actually really like WOW, I don't think it was a great "First" single I hope he drops a b-----r and reveals some more info to get the hype buzzing
Dec 3, 2017 No. I don’t think I was as hyped for Recovery because it wasn’t that long of a wait. I’d say my hype is about equal to the hype I had for MMLP2. I knew right off the bat it wouldn’t be as good as MMLP anyway so it didn’t affect my hype much. I don’t think anything will ever touch my hype for Relapse though.
Dec 3, 2017 Medicine Man, Best Friend, Hills Remix were amazing. No Favors, WoW were terrible. I am not excited for the album at all. He could’ve put WoW as the last single or just as an intro. If the first single was super powerful and he would have talked about how great he is, then that would be a different case.
