Usually when the music is good, 1 or 2 spins is enough to like it. If you need to put it on repeat an entire weekend to kind of like it, then it isn't really that good.

It's like when you were a kid and were forced to eat something you didn't like. At first you could barely eat it, but after some time you got used to it and didn't really dislike it as much. But still, you never really like it.

Different motivations for each song, though. That song is mostly from the POV of an insane fan, and our feelings toward Stan are not supposed to be positive.

Space Bound seems to be something you'd relate to if you're someone who was vulnerable and opened themselves up for once just to be hurt again, which is fine. And that third verse just makes it hard for me to f--- with the narrative of it as Eminem portrays himself as this sympathetic figure in the song. Just feels like him trying to k--- her, the song is trying to be something more than it deserves to be.

In honesty, I don't think people really know what to expect from Eminem anymore, so when they hear something different for the first time they don't like it. But when they give it a couple of plays, they realize that it's better than they expected. It's not about forcing yourself to like it, is that everybody's confused about what they expect and automatically bash everything he releases, and then they realize that they actually like it.
