    just finished my first listen, i'm awestruck. overall this was an incredible album, full of great lyrics and content, well worked features, and samples/production that surprised at every turn. there were a few tracks i wasn't a fan of (the string of heat-offended-need me was definitely the low point imo), but the quality of the other tracks and the passion that comes through in each of them more than make up for those misses

    i'm going to be playing this album nonstop for weeks to come, and i'm sure my opinion will shift, but for now, i'm deeply satisfied with the payoff after all this waiting. i'd place this alongside revival as his 3rd or 4th best album, it blows mmlp2 the f--- out in a glorious way

    Honestly the whole album gives the impression that he was scrounging together and only managed to write a few songs in a 4 year span, then Trump won the election and they were like "thank god I can just rant about him some on the record to fill out the tracklist"

    the whole thing doesn't make sense

    you have relapse-esque promo

    with political artwork

    with tracks like wow apologizing for his flaws

    and then an album full of said flaws that is the least cohesive thing I've ever heard from him, with nothing matching up to the promo and it all going in different directions

    this is like a really bad compilation of tracks that all should've been scrapped

    I need to wait until tonight and listen with a more open mind. Can't be bad as initially thought. Listening to arose....so good. This is what he should be doing. After first listen.

    Believe
    Framed
    Castle
    Arose

    Everything else sounded not good. As I typed this, he just flushed.the toilet on me. Feel like i was just trolled.....by this album. f---.
