mixed bag of some of the best s--- he's made in 5+ years & some of his worst career lows. every other song that he's not stickin to his formula he's trying something new with subject matter, vocal delivery, even music, playing around with like faux trap instrumentals & s---. all for better or for worse. but still this kinda stuff makes it a fun listen.

for me its an interesting album. like in the same way that Encore was a disaster you couldn't look away from cause it was so compelling for some reason seeing a dude that was on top of the world not even two years prior falling way down & throwing everything away. Revivals similar, seeing a total has-been fumbling around with different s--- tryin to recreate some spark & sometimes almost succeeding.

album for me is a recycle bin classic. but one that i might take out of the recycle bin every now & then cause it captures my attention. & then put it back in.

The lows are some of the lowest of his career but I'm seriously f---ing with the highs of this album more than I did with Recovery and MMLP2.

He needs to get away from the f---ing yes men. it's damaging his legacy to the point it's almost beyond repair.

in all honesty, i think half of these haters would hate the album no matter what. they like em's old material, got burnt out and now nothing he makes will outdo that nostalgia. im just curious if there's a single thing he could've done to please that group of people. he's pretty much dipped across the spectrum and if fans couldn't find songs they like from it, i'm not sure what they would possible expect.

another part of it is the politics/race thing. when kendrick does it, it's okay. when em does it, he's a p---- SJW. there were many liberals who disliked em's politically incorrect bars but didn't completely write them off. but now the alt-right wants to play the hurt feelings cards

I consider Castle and Arose as one song, and it's definitely in the top 10 of his career.

And you know what, that pisses me off. He still can make magic. So why are there such s-----y unenjoyable tracks on here. I'm not asking him to top MMLP and TES, I'm asking for enjoyable music with content. That exactly what Castle and Arose are

Believe, Framed, Castle and Arose are great.
