Dec 14, 2017 its not that deep or anything, but all the songs obviously happened after arose since arose suppose to happen in 2008, and i feel he focus on making them stand out as they happened after by doing bad husband and all the new sounds as the revived eminem
Dec 14, 2017 Fly away in there for a hit I seriously dont think they were old throaways, but if they were it proves em doesnt release his best songs
Dec 14, 2017 I said yesterday that Arose was better than Castle but that's not the case. Arose has that rewind to Castle that is GOAT. But Castle is superior and probably the best eminem song in 14 years
Dec 14, 2017 I agree with this. When I first heard the album I was shocked at myself this was the first em album I wasn’t feeling on first listen. But I listened to it a bunch more times throughout the day, and f--- it’s good. I know it’s early but for me this definitely tops his last three albums for me. Recovery’s probably my least favorite in terms of being replayed. I don’t mind his rappity rap s---, but d--- personal em is 10x better. I feel like he didn’t so much himself care about sales with the way the rollout was. Like someone said I think it was more for his longtime fans and kind of seemed like an apology to family. I’ve had the whole album on replay since it leaked.
Dec 14, 2017 what he said still stands if u said bad guy or deja vu then u have an argument but castle, arose >>>>>> brainless any day
Dec 14, 2017 Before hearing Castle and Arose I was bashing Em hard, I was saying he needs to quit.... And I still feel that way. But I'm gonna be replaying Castle for years. As much as I hate this album I feel like Em should know how great this song is lol.
Dec 14, 2017 I was really lmao when I realized he sampled Boogie Nights on Heat. Amazing this album is bad, though - like, bottom 3 Em. Just an absolute mess
Dec 14, 2017 I am still not passing judgement but I'm closer to Koolo now than I was for sure. This album asks somehing of it's listener like MMLP2 and even Recovery doesn't do. My initial thought was that I didn't wanna put in the work I just wanted something to go down smooth. I've been bumping some tracks during the day and they've grown on me fast. Gonna need more time on this one, it's not as simple as the last two albums for sure and even if Koolo says too poppy here I actually think an effort has been made to make the hooks less in your face accessable like every MMLP2 song. I'm still listening and I'm definately over the "this is crap fase" so lets see how this plays out
Dec 14, 2017 Too many different types of songs from relapse era recovery mmlp2 etc. theres no identity.
Dec 14, 2017 Whoaaaaa. I thought those two were a combination of a poor man's Deja Vu/GTC and a rich man's Mockingbird. I'm with @Papa Andy. They are good but I'm not as high as them on most because of the redundancy. The Castle beat and hook are perfect though.
Dec 14, 2017 Cant think of a song where he did it from this perspective. It comes close with the two u mentioned but not much
