Though, tbh I think rappers should also put out albums after 50. Jay Z proved it's not entirely a young man's game with 4:44. (He wasn't 50+ but it was mature content.) It's sad to see rappers having to quit when nearing 50. In no other genre does this happen. Dudes like Willie Nelson and Elton John still put out albums. If the older generation starts the trend of putting out solid albums with content like that on 4:44, I get the feeling it'll be a nice subgenre. It won't sell as much but I'm sure it'll sit well with older hip hop heads.

Well he stopped working after mmlp2. He didn’t have any intention to release an album until last year so I guess it’s his return again.

I love Recovery but this album s----s on it in so many ways


It’s so self aware and less robotic.

Songs like In your head and bad husband literally personify Eminem’s career, he’s able to dabble into topics that we have heard briefly but have an entire new take on them but make them sound so modern.
MMLP2 sounded like a recluse struggling for topics and he just wanted to rhyme time crime and porcupine all the time
Even songs like heat and framed have a clear direction on here, songs like rap god, berserk, RoR had no direction at all.


Revival has some REALLY good content throughout it, it has bad songs but you can sometimes look past them especially when this is the first album since TES to have 8-10 solid songs

Hov got lucky with 4:44. Eminem already discussed half the s--- Hov did 15 years ago. U can say he was already on content before Hov. If Em did that in 2017, every1 would say "we've already heard this". Hov didnt plan for this s--- but his career is easily the embodiment of everything you want in rap. Being able to constantly reinvent yourself and then finally get on the conscious wave at the right time. Not every1 is able to do that. Plus a number of rappers are starting to fade away and some of these rappers are already 40 but still make youngin music. Ross is 40 and I don't want to hear conscious s--- from him. I'm sure the current state of rap culture doesn't either. It sucks how s--- pans out.

Revival moved to #4 in my list- the 1st 3 are obv..Based alot on that its the authentic Em. The Em that got pulled in too many directions for the last 3 albums. When he stays true to himself and does the music he feels,it comes thru. Theres a couple tracks for sure that could be swapped for the many others he made for the album. Something for everybody is good, but the album with of course my own personal suggested preferences,could have taken it to a new lvl...
