Great to see Meek Mill on the list.

Underrated album don't see it mentioned that much as being a great album.

How do you feel about Brockhampton? @WPG

Or Kodak’s projects he dropped this year? Same with NBA YoungBoy. I would probably put all 3 of them in this list somewhere, but I can’t argue with your picks. Few of these I haven’t even heard, I’ll def check them out.

YoungBoy's projects would probably be, literally, 16 (AI) and, like, 25. It was a great year for rap. I'm gonna have a full best-of list out on NYE, which includes singles and albums, and let's just say "No Smoke" is very, very high.

I like the Brockhampton guys personally but the albums didn't really do it for me this year.

I thought PB2 and, actually, Painting Pictures were really good. He'll be represented on the full list.

It doesn't come close to the raw emotion he achieved on his 2014-2016 run, it's like he's trying to make this emotional album but it feels so polished and uninspired to me. It's a dope listen, but it's far from his masterpieces and it upsets me that projects like Purple Reign get written off as lesser entries into his discography but this is suddenly his best work in everyone's eyes. The impression I get is that Future is happy now, he can't as readily tap into that raw emotion that made the post-Ciara run so timeless and that's how the music comes across to me. Still love the guy but he has rarely shown to be hungry or inspired in 2017 for me.
