Massive win for you guys, great composure from the midfield trio to force mistakes and overwhelm them on the transition. Lukaku was very decisive in the 2nd half, s----d in defenders to create space for the offense (case in point Lingard's goal a result of 3 defenders on Romelu). Chelsea just inconsistent af, real lack of quality in certain positions.

Absolute comedic goals in this cup final, fell off my couch when Kun chipped that 1st one in--Mustafi reminded me of the type of defending I'd see in pick-up games.

Tbh to answer your first, I personally like Morata's qualities on the ball more than Lukaku, however Lukaku is on the better team and fits his skill-set better. Once he strikes a better understanding with Sanchez and continues to learn to be a proper target man (holding up the ball from defenders to create space/openings) he'll come good for you guys.

I'd really like Hazard, depends if we do decide to move on from Bale/Benz. Personally I'd just want another striker, Kane/Werner/Icardi really

Probably shouldn't use the tag but this thread is almost dead and this is a very serious topic.
But @SoccerSXN , what happens to PSG now?

• Neymar will want to jump ship but unfortunately, money talks and PSG own him.
• PSG can't supplement the squad by buying any quality, experienced players, because they're obligated to buy Mbappe and then FFP will screw them.
• Last point made worse buy the fact that nobody will buy players like Di Maria or Draxler because of how psg screwed them.
• The actual quality they do have, Like Veratti will probably come out saying "yeah those shitheads forced me to stay and i'd rather be playing with Busquets and Coutinho or De Bryune and D.Silva".

Like seriously, PSG are f-----, and Neymar will be stuck on a sinking ship. How do they come back from this. They'll win the french league, but nobody will give a f---. They are turning into what barca were last season. The biggest failure (based off expectation) and frankly laughing stock of the "Elites".

Honestly i wouldn't take too much credit for this win. PSG were just s---. Veratti was the only useful player on the pitch and he got Red Carded. Cavani played his heart out but got f--- all service and support.

Like Madrid didn't even seem to try. Marcelo was f---ing Casual. Kroos was taking a jog when he came on. Benzema was s---, but nobody will even care because it's for the greater good he wasn't imo.

PSG deserve this. I feel sorry for Cavani and Veratti and even most of the team tbh. even Emery i feel sorry for, But neymar can get f----- for adding the weight in gold that probably sunk the ship imo.

There are managers that know how to manage Star talent and others that are good at assembling above-average talent into a cohesive squad...Emery falls into the latter

Very tepid display from PSG in what should have been a red alert game, lack of urgency in passing (albeit we denied space very well when the midfield line stayed compact) and a very passive approach to defending--look at f---ing Rabiot just watch Lucas V sprint to receive Asensio's throughball before his cross to CR7. Horrible attitude and managing really, Im a huge fan of his game but Veratti has a hideous reputation for indiscipline and until he learns to use his head, he can never be in that elite pantheon of midfielders.

To answer what @Black Jesus said; keep an eye out on what UEFA will do, they were very lenient on them for their two blockbuster purchases and it wouldn't surprise me if Nasser once again only gets a slap in the wrist. Will be a fun summer to see the mass exodus of players leaving, Free Draxler ffs

What star talent? Rabiot? 34 year old Dani alves? Pastore? Motta? Draxler? Di Maria in 2018?

Veratti looked pretty comfortable passing his way through the midfield and keeping possession. The problem is turning that possession that they could only very barely hold on to at times, into attack. They have no world class attacking Midfielder. They play 2 CM's but only one is any good and they were playing against a 4 man Case-Kova midfield. They were never going to make any progress against that. Emery being tactically inept and sticking to a 3 man midfield didn't help.

Yeah it's bad enough that the cover is s---, but then you have an Aging Dani Alves trying to play box to box. I mean....that Asensio kid on the left flank shouldn't cause much problems right? Let's just give him acres of space every time someone gives away the ball.

Dani Alves was a transfer that PSG didn't need for multiple reasons. But we know why he got there which makes it funny that he's the reason they conceded first.

As for Veratti he should come to Barca. If he had Coutinho and Busquets playing beside him them i can't see any team in Europe stopping that....

The Exodus is inevitable. Those who don't want to leave will probably be forced out as part of the scapegoating anyways. PSG will be treated the same way we were last transfer window. Everyone will charge a shitton for anyone PSG want, and PSG being s--- lowered the value of all their players.

Draxler i personally feel sorry for. He was great last season, and was shafted for no reason because oil money gotta be spent, even though the attack was the least of PSG's issues.

Di Maria was coming into this game in-form tbf, all of those are talented players but the game did illustrate they simply don't compare to Real's squad. My point was that Emery was never fit to manage a group of players like this, whereas in Sevilla he did great things with lesser talents across the board. There is no authority on this team or motivation to push harder--see penaltygate & players publicly complain about him.

It works when the front three try to come in deeper between the lines to receive the ball, its a big reason why 442's died in the mid-2000s since thats what 433's used to do but I'll be happy to discuss that another time if you'd like. More so in this game we managed to dictate the game better than the 1st leg, even without Modric & Kroos.

It's been a horrible project in general, I mentioned it before but last year's capitulation at the Camp Nou was an institution killing game--it will take years and probably more millions for them to shake that stigma/reputation off. Agreed, the players leaving will charge a hefty fee meanwhile they will blow the bank on more big names (I heard Courtois is angling a move) meanwhile UEFA sits there getting wanked by Nasser.

Nope, not as good a goalscorer. Different type of player. Madrid would prefer a Mbpappe type player as a "ronaldo" replacement.
