Nah Rihanna really helped his fan base grow that year to a younger audience. Not afraid was big for the stans and all the drug addicts that like eminem. Song is terrible. Complex even stated on their revival review eminem had Rihanna keep him relevant that year and saved him but he one was able to save him from this s-----y of an album.

How come my entire high school of non drug addicts and people who never listen to rap at all were listening to Not Afraid 24/7?

Your high school was full of illiterate whites, Mountain Dew drinking virgins. And then the couple stans like you talking about how lyrical and real rap that song is

Actually this explains everything. If they don’t listen to rap then they don’t know what “good rap music” is. You were clearly from an area full of rednecks lol Obviously the stans and red necks are going to listen to not afraid over other rap

i wanted to like this post then the "he had some success with LTWYL" stopped me...you admitting the song was one of the most successful songs of the last decade wouldnt take anything from your post...you coulda actually made an argument that it was luck or fluke..but playing it down as "some success" is wrong

I admitted the song itself brought a whole generation of 13-15 year olds to Eminem’s new music at the time. The song just fit really well for the time and radio stations played it non stop. It just seems he can’t move on from that time period with these pop songs. He’s never going to generate the sales and success that ltwyl had with a pop song so idk why he’s still trying. If putting Ed Sheeran on the hook didn’t make the song blow up no pop artist will. Although I think if Eminem actually made a listenable track river definitely had some potential.

Yeah, I don't have anything against using pop stars, but at least put some effort into making it your own. It's painful to hear him rapping over this pop s--- and saying "f--- doin what you're told, act like a two year old" :em55:

Lol kinda true except they weren’t really redneck. And no I enjoyed the song because of the energy and something new. Not enjoying it anymore. I didn’t understood any lyrics back then either lol

Yeah Ik what you mean I was just getting my point across by using the term redneck. I’m from an area too where hip hop isn’t real huge but still pretty big but at one time (2000-2004) Eminem was the only rapper people would accept as being good with mostly only white people who rarely listen to other rap. Like the 13-14 kids blasting ltwyl all summer long but they never heard verses like words are weapons or anything of Eminem in his prime. They don’t know hip hop enough.

actually i always had a problem with that line..i feel he shoulda said twelve years old or something in that range... 2 year olds usually do listen to instructions

then again he thinks fake boobs are better than real ones

^ I thought the same thing as well, regarding 2- versus 12-year old for that bar there

Then I thought about how parents refer to that the second year of their kids' lives as the "Terrible Two's"

Then I was more at peace with that bar there #InOtherUselessNews cheah

    First you say:
And then you proceed to say exactly why I got that.

Eminem is not a spokesman for anything. Sometimes he says f----- up things because he has that kind of humor, sometimes he's serious and says actual murders should be stopped. You don't think he actually promotes murder and r---, do you? Like he hears about a murder on the news and roots for the killer?

Just listened to the extended version of Nowhere Fast and does make the song way more listenable with the beat changed up a bit.

Never got past the chorus of nowhere fast when revival dropped. Gave the extended version a spin today. Not bad, not memorable

This is honestly the best remix of a song since the Detroit vs everybody remix. Powerful verses
