Mar 18, 2018 I'm not upset about his opinion, but I definitely think that he could voice it on something other than a mediocre pop song that was clearly made to get radio airplay.
Mar 19, 2018 Definitely agree.. how I used to think in my 20s baffles me sometimes. So hearing people b---- about him being a hypocrite honestly have not grown into an adult yet. I love the old music, I love the new music.. One thing I appreciate about eminem is every album sounds different, each I like and dislike for different reasons but one thing you can count on is he cares about his work which is seldom with alot of artists. Most guys just to do it for the money and hoes...
Mar 20, 2018 Just to clarify a few things; I much preferred the way Eminem rapped/flowed on The Eminem Show for example, compared to now, but I still think his technical ability is second to none, and although jarring at first, I'm at a point now where I just expect that from him and can really appreciate the current flow styles a lot more. His flows were better 15 years ago because you could almost "sing along" to them without even knowing what he's saying. You could kind of hum his flows on TES in a way, without knowing the words. It's impossible for the most part to do that today but from a technical perspective, if that's your thing, they are insanely more complex and skilful. Anyway back to the main topic; I'm not saying I relate to EVERYTHING Eminem says today, but if I were, say, coming across Eminem's older stuff for the first time today, there would be little to none of it that I'd relate to. I'd still enjoy it, but it wouldn't connect with me, and for me as a longtime fan, it's nice to hear him speak about things I care about today. I totally get that his recent "comeback" since Recovery has got him a lot of new, younger fans, but I was under the impression that a majority of people on this forum are older fans of his from back in the day, which is why it surprises me to hear so much vitriol towards him for speaking about real world stuff today :/
Apr 1, 2018 Walk on Water is gonna go down as a classic. I hated it when I first heard it. It took me months to appreciate it and now I like it better each time I hear it because Eminem shows a lot of truth to say the things he said.
