    Lol as somebody who's been listening to him since 08/09 I just had to be honest. There's a 4-5 tracks off KOD & 4YEO that are good but the rest is too inconsistent for me to put it in the next tier.

    Born Sinner & Sideline Story's awfulness speak for themselves.

    As amazing as Lupe was/is, that man also gave us Lasers and DROGAS Light. And those albums HURT his discography. That's be like if Cole had 2 Slideline Stories.

    Hopefully DROGAS Wave is great.

    Born Sinner had weird production. On the more trapesque tracks, Cole used weird a--- drums on it, idk what the f--- those drums were. I remember loving "LAnd Of The Snakes" in my sophomore year of high school and walking around, bumping it.

    Yeah he was never the same after Atlantic started f---ing with him, his output since The Cool has been middling at best, sans Tetsuo & Youth which was solid. Goes to show how Big label support is influential in most cases; Kendrick's super-stardom caught me by surprise when GKMC did such huge numbers and it's only been uphill since.

    Yeah I see what you mean. I'm thinking the videos/tour will explain more in terms of which goes where. I feel like he left it up to interpretation cause people going to think of different situations depending on where there at in their life when listening to this imo

    The only reason why Lupe signed with Atlantic is because Jay-Z was supposed to become the CEO there or something, and Jay wanted Lupe to be his "Golden Goose". But when negotiations broke down between Jay and Atlantic, Jay went to Def Jam and Lupe got stuck in his Atlantic contract.

    It's tragic how different Lupe's career could've been.

    Yeah I remember that, the rollout for LASERS was such a mess. We never got that CRS album either in between those years that could have been such a big boost...oh well.
