Apr 20, 2018 Lmao if you think a s-----y half baked album released four years after his last solo was label pressure, you might be r-----ed.
Apr 23, 2018 But what if trying to please everyone is his vision? What if that is truly what he wants? Then wouldn't Revival be sincere?
Apr 23, 2018 Sure. Then it just comes down to whether it works or doesn't / is good or not. And in my opinion - it's s---. As is often the case when trying to please many people at once. That's often the route to confused, boring, predictable art.
Apr 23, 2018 You might be r-----ed if you think he wanted to rush an album out with date delays, forced singles and weak promotion. The label has to take responsibility at some point its not all Ems fault
Apr 23, 2018 But Android/iOS/Microsoft Word try to satisfy everyone, and they're very successful and liked by most people...
Apr 23, 2018 Lol Interscope hasn’t f----- anybody else’s release up that bad, it’s Ems fault you f---ing stan
Apr 23, 2018 50 Cent, Busta, Wale, Eve, and Chief Keef to name a few have definitely been in the same situation while they were signed there. Idk why you act like you aren't a stan being dismissive when you've been home to this sxn as long as I can remember
Apr 23, 2018 > 50 Cent f----- himself up by making stale music for so long and losing his buzz > Busta and Eve did good numbers on Aftermath vs off Aftermath > Wale never really had an audience to begin with > Chief Keef stopped trying to make radio hits
Apr 23, 2018 Well you already said you liked more than a few songs. And no super bad songs. It's cohesive because if he would have just followed a formula where all songs sound the same, then it would have been forced because that's not what he wanted.
Apr 24, 2018 Nah I hate Need Me, Remind Me and Heat are predictable Em filler though Heat is fun, Framed is inauthentic and annoying, River is beyond formulaic and eye rolling predictable, I never want to hear it again.... I could go on. In saying theres no super bad songs I guess I just mean technically speaking, like how they were made. But there's a lot I don't enjoy. Also you can't just say it's cohesive lol. It either is or is not based on how the sounds go together. And most people including myself hear no cohesion, because there is not. It's all over the place worse than mmlp2. Tracks dont need to sound the same to be cohesive. They just need to be made by the same hands or with a similar vibe and have something gluing them together. Look at TES. Theres 50 sounds going on from metal rap to disco rap but it all works because Em produced nearly all of it and made the tracks in the same frame of mind... it's all for 1 purpose, 1 body of work... Nowdays he just picks beats which producers have made randomly and he also makes formula tracks of his various sounds which sound wayyy too different to ever go together. He doesnt make albums now, he just makes tracks and then shoves them all on a CD.
Apr 25, 2018 Agree. - SSLP, MMLP : albums sharing 1 concept (how Slim and Marshall combined make Eminem) - TES, Relapse, 8 Mile OST = concept albums - Recovery : half concept / half fillers - Encore, MMLP2, Shady XV, Revival : total non-albums (Encore was a bad sequel to TES, MMLP2 is a revisitation of MMLP, Revival is a weak attempt to end a "Relapse / Recovery / Revival" trilogy, Shady XV is a compilation of leftovers). 50% of Eminem's works on albums is absolutely unauthentic.
