Imo Philly and Boston aren't that far away from being contenders. Especially since Lebron left, him leaving East probably made most of the teams relax a bit lmao

Mitch is saying to win the 2017/18 title if KD was still in OKC. Next season maybe, but they couldn't even get past old Bron and the replacements this year

I was thinking if LeBron was in LA now, which I honestly think would happen either way because of his family, it’d be GS, OKC, HOU, LAL, BOS, TOR, and maybe PHI, but they’re a year away imo.

It's kind of hard to think about it though. Like if KD never left chances of Paul George being on OKC are slim, not sure about Chris Paul to Rockets either. Conference finals would have probably stayed OKC vs Warriors and Cavs having far more chances winning finals again. Well Pacers were very close to doing that, which surprised me a lot, considering Celtics are far better than them. Philly has another year or two until they become a huge threat, well or at least until Simmons establishes a shot.

If LAL adde Geroge, maybe. At the moment they're nowhere near close to being contenders. Lebron alone isn't enough to get you through the West. That team is doomed, the only thing they have going is ball movement, they have no shooting whatsoever.

Kawhi and 33 year old Lowry as a championship contender? :lmaooo:

Their defense is what makes them so scary. Kawhi is twice the player DeMar is too, and this team just won like what, 59 games? East is wide open. I still think Boston takes it but they should at least make it interesting.

Lakers weren’t as bad as you think last year. They were injured a lot and are only improving. LeBron just got to the finals with a way worse team last year. Hypothetically, if the Warriors didn’t have KD, they’d be considered a contender. They probably wouldn’t win it all or anything but they’d make it interesting.

They are better now that Demar is gone (who chokes the f--- up in the playoffs), but Lowry is also a known choker. Their best player in playoffs is usually JV who is never used as the main point and instead they let the brick bros to keep bricking shots lol

Yea Lowry and Demar have always been a--- in the playoffs, but Kawhi is a franchise altering, top 5 player. Any team with the best guy in the East + that defense has a shot.

Only thing that sucks about getting Bron is every sports fan and media person has their opinion now about last year’s Lakers team when they probably hardly watched them, if at all.

Also the whole ‘they have no shooters’ s--- is overblown. Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, KCP are all good shooters with the first 3 names there improving fast. h--- even Lonzo’s shot got better throughout the year. They also drafted 2 guys that are good shooters, they’ll be fine with shooters lol, not worried.

Some of them may be fine from midrange, but none of them are good 3 point shooters. And I will have to totally disagree with you on one thing, Lonzo's shot did not get better throughout the year at all.

@Lezu if you think any of those 4 guys can’t s---t the 3 then yea you’re clealry wrong and I’m not gonna bother. That ones obvious and you can figure it out yourself.

As far as Lonzo goes, its way less obvious but you’re still wrong. Found an article from March 1st that said he shot 30.4% overall in November including 24.3% from 3. Then from the start of December till the start of March he shot 43% and 38% from 3.

From dec 12 to March 1st he shot 36/86 from 3 which is 41.8%.

So yeah sorry man you just don’t know what you’re talking bout as far as the other Lakers go. Don’t worry though, most people don’t either.

Also I saw a report that the opening night TNT doubleheader will be Sixers/Celtics followed by Thunder/Warriors.

Obviously not confirmed yet but sounds fairly realistic. Surprised no Bron Lakers debut but maybe they’re saving that for the next night.

They’re gonna be good no doubt, but better than Boston or Philly? Nah, so that’s not a title contender for me
