Aug 10, 2018 Man chill lmao. Y"all fans funny as f--- tbh. Yes the verse wasn't the most memorable thing he has done in the while and was maybe aight at best. But y"all are talking as if the mans gonna retire tomorrow with this s--- being his last ever verse. Let him come out with more music, an actual album, his Soundtrack or whatever. It was just an aight verse he did for someone who's more of a pop star than a rapper. s--- felt like a pop song. Everybody has a bad feature verse every once in a while, and Em rarely does bad on features. Chill tf out. Even Kendrick's been mediocre with his features lately.
Aug 10, 2018 I make music and have always respected the craft. Hip hop has always been competitive, so in a way you are looking to impress. I don’t think people are coming to Em for a feature and expecting anything less or more than what he did here. Compare this to. “Throw That” or even back to “Pistol Poppin” this s----s all over those. It’s not bad at all imo. Music is subjective though, it is what it is.
Aug 10, 2018 Rappers can be both impressive technically and enjoyable to sit back and listen to. It's just when Em tries to be impressive technically, he does it in such a way that sacrifices everything about the song other than it being technical.
