Yes, awesome match. Kinda wanted Kachanov to win, or at least get to a fifth and deciding set.

Women's field's a slaughterhouse of seeds as usual lol. I'm rooting for Stephens to repeat as champion.

stephens had a very nice shot in her last match (not today's match) she was running back and hit a forehand across the court for an amazing point.

federer lost last night and it seemed like the heat effected him.

Stephens lost Now I don't care for the women's field anymore lol.

On the men's side excited for the Nadal - Del Potro semi-final. Also curious who will (probably) face Djokovic in the semis, Cilic or Nishikori.

nadal vs del potro sould be a showdown. i'm not so sure joker vs. Nishikori will be as good.........but i hope i'm wrong

we could end up with an all american final on the women's side......if serena and madison hold up for one more match

Djokovic does everything a little better than Nishikori so I'm expecting a win in four sets for Novak. Nadal - Del Potro is blockbuster material.

Williams - Osaka, might as well count that as all-american final, Osaka's more american than anything. Can't see her defeat Williams though, Serena looked like a monster, crushing souls over there in NY.

dang, nadal had to retire.....sucks....but it happens. good sportsmanship from both guys

naomi beat serena earlier in the year........but the way serena has played in this tourney........i doubt naomi beats her again. but we'll see.........tennis is unpredictable

happy for naomi.....she played really well and has a mature demeanor. docking serena a game was controversial and sort of took away from the match a bit. but serena has to maintain her composure a little better........which isn't easy during the magnitude of a match like this

This is why I really don't like Serena. Super happy Naomi won, but poor girl didn't get to celebrate it like she wanted to.

i figured novak would win---just didn't see him winning in straight sets. del potro had a good chance at that second set, but he just wasn't able to win it. being tall like del potro is.....is a disadvantage for sure--because it makes movement more difficult--and against someone like joker who is master at returning.....his height is even more of a disadvantage
