Eminem has been around for a while and fans have discovered him at different stages of his career. So I thought it would be interesting to see for how long you have been following his music.

What was the first song you heard? When did you really start listening to his albums?

First song I heard was The Real Slim Shady. Started to listen to his music when The Eminem Show came out.

Bought the SSLP the second week it came out and listened to it a LOT but just as a casual fan and for the "fun" stuff like My Name Is and Guilty Conscience but really got I to him the moment MMLP came out.

Shame because if if bebeen a bigger fan during the SSLP era I could've seen him and Dre perform at the Brixton Academy. Legendary concert that there's an MP3 of somewhere.

I remember buying an infinite mixtape off of proof back in 95. Dude popped the trunk of his car and had boxes full of them lol. Wish I still had that tape today.

since sslp. My brother would always bump it in his Chrysler New Yorker. I had my mom buy mmlp when it came out. I was living in a small white town and everyone seemed to become wiggers with blond hair over night. I remember thinking he fell off when the Eminem show came out lol.

The first Eminem song I've heard was My Mom in 2009. A friend of mine played it on his Sony Ericsson on the way home from school. His aggressive and ruthless lyrics combined with impeccable flow and hooks appealed to me instantly. Not Afraid was a huge song for me that I remember hearing and playing over and over again. Once we had internet at home i downloaded (LimeWire :emoji_wink:) and listened to TES and Encore because the covers were similar and appeared special to me. In 2013 I became a stan and became obsessive to own every Eminem song , feature and freestyle ever recorded.

I also remember a friend constantly bashing Eminem for being so personal and only talking about his own life in his music. I never understood that.

Ok yoy guys are gonna laugh at me but it goes sumin' like this:
    - I was 9 when Encore came out, bought it after listening to Just Lose It... lol
    - Played encore like crazy until I discovered TES and was like wooooah
    - with Youtube becoming mainstream I became super hooked up to all the Em material
    - then relapse and recovery came out and I was like... wtf is this crap. (I matured and appreciate them now).
