@Riley and @Enigma i'm sure you guys already know this, but the cowboys strong running attack sets up favorable situations for Cooper. its also gonna take some defenders out of the box for Zeke. now giving up a 1st rounder is certainly a lot, but its not like Cooper can't play. he's way more talented than the rest of the Cowboys receivers. plus he's not a diva WR. in other words, he just goes out there and lets his game speak for itself. anyway, i know you guys don't like the trade and i'm certainly not trying to change either of your minds........i'm just trying to cheer you up a bit. :)

the vikings have played well lately, but we've also played 2 rookie QB's in the last 3 weeks. this night game sunday will be a real test. at least its at home.

@M.I.C. @Boos @SWERVO you guys gonna be waking up early for the game on Sunday---eating cereal and drinking your OJ. y'all gonna bet on the game? :)

Not looking forward to watching football at 9:30 tbh. I like waking up on Sunday and watching some pregame shows and all that before the games. Obviously can’t do that now. My friend is actually going to the game. Luckily, the only team that seems to be a bigger mess than the Eagles right now is the Jags, so I think we should win. Who knows though since they have experience playing over there so often

@TimmyT Cooper was bad in 2017. Had the one game where he exploded for like 200+ yards and a few TDs but altogether, such a step back in his progression. He can get open, runs good routes, and has pretty impressive physical tools but he also has inconsistent hands. Drops are an issue. He hasn’t come anywhere close to living up to his draft spot and on no planet is he worth giving up a top 15 pick for (because let’s be real, that’s where the Cowboys would have been picking from).

And he only has one year left on his deal. So you gave that pick up to have to resign him in a year anyway, if things work out, and that’s a bit if. Let’s say the cowboys don’t improve much. They finish below .500 this year, which is very possible. Is Garret fired? Is Dak’s time up? Let’s say Jerry decides to give them the rest of this year, and next season as well. What if the cowboys still aren’t improved (which I think is VERY possible cuz I’m losing faith in Dak more and more each week. Garrett been gone in my mind). Then what? You’re probably looking at Garrett getting fired AND the Cowboys moving on from Dak. If that were to happen, do you still resign Cooper? With a brand new QB and coaching regime coming in? Is that smart, does that make it worth it giving up that 1st round pick? Of course not.

The move is wayyyy too risky to make any amount of sense for this team. It’s VERY possible that you just gave up a first rounder for a year and a half rental. Stupid.

Cowboys trading for cooper was dumb. We had a veteran, more talented & higher ceiling WR on our team last year. What did we do? We released him because we thought the WR by committee approach would be more efficient. Nope. There’s a lot wrong with this offense. Our O-Line is struggling due to inexperience (Williams), inconsistency (Collins) & injury (Fredrick). Dak has been pretty hit-or-miss this season. It’s not even so much him throwing the ball that’s the issue, it’s all the mental stuff. He panics at the slightest bit of pressure, awful pocket awareness, not throwing to open receivers, game management was atrocious last week etc. Zeke only seems to be an impact when teams struggle to stop the run. I mean, it’s everything.

way more than just that but choosing to stick with him for political reasons is the root of our super bowl window opening and closing within 1 season
