from the packers side of things......its not an easy trade to understand. he was clearly one of the packers best defenders. pro football focus has him ranked as the 5th best safety in the league. maybe you guys didn't want to extend? that would be my guess. either way, i'm glad he's out of our division. :emoji_wink:

I heard he had plans to leave anyway. So they figured they’d get something for him.

The trade deadline really made me feel even better about getting a 1st for Cooper though.

yeah, if he planned to leave, or if the packers didn't feel like they were gonna extend him.......then it makes sense to trade him now and get something in return. the thing is.....rodgers is obviously a rare talent.....and the main reason he hasn't had more super-bowl appearances is because of the packers ongoing underachieving defense. getting rid of this guy just makes things more difficult. not that i'm complaining, because i can't stand the pack, but you get my point.

the packers have had only TWO QB's since the early 90's. that's unreal. its also why they've been the most successful team in the nfc north over that time period. but you still have to be able to play some defense.

anyway, enough of the wack pack..........you and @Heisenberg ready for thursday night football? :)

I think its just that we didnt want to pay him.

Packers should go after Jim Harbaugh imo. A good defensive coach with championship experience. We dont even need to worry about the offense tbh

Yea I’m actually excited for the opportunity to win a game lmao. If we lose, it’s alright though. This game essentially decides who is gonna pick first haha.
haha that’s cold!! It’s the Battle of the Bay baby. Doesn’t get better than a rivalry with 2 teams combined for as many wins.. HYPED!!

Lol it's gonna be an embarrassing showing on National TV. I should probably just watch the Bucks vs Celtics

lol I was slightly exaggerating to try to make the post more interesting/funny etc or whatever. but yea it’s not a game I’m looking forward to, especially now that I just saw some guy named Nick Mullens is gonna be the starting QB for the niners. :lmaooo:

I’m going to blazers/pelicans but meh.. AD probably isn’t playing so I’m not too excited bout that one either lol.

Nick Mullens once had a bone sticking out through the thumb on his throwing hand. He told the medical staff to push it back in and tape it up. Said he could still throw the ball.

People are gonna be upset/underwhelmed when they see Mullens play against an NFL defense

@Motor City i think no matter who wins tomorrow it'll be close--division games usually are. i noticed slay and ansah are both listed as questionable on injury report. i know both of those guys are important to your defense.

stefon diggs hasn't practiced all week, so he probably won't play tomorrow. this month will probably make or break the vikings. we have 3 division games this month. i'll be happy if we can win tomorrow and going into our bye without any other key guys getting hurt

besides vikings game, i'm looking forward to saints vs. rams, but there are many good games this week. what are your thoughts? you think lions win tomorrow? did you like the tate trade?

I took the Vikes in my pick ‘em league. I think they win by a solid 7-10 points. Both teams banged up right now but their roster is still better
