    I don’t think they add up to much, but I like a lot of the songs on Rock’s and JID has the most ornate flow around.

    Depends if we're talking about personal album quality or general status, 'cause I mean Ye wasn't good but he still absolutely dominated this year. The producing five albums in five weeks thing was huge, especially considering one of those albums is the most acclaimed project of the year and another was the first Nas release for six years. Add that to his continued media and news presence, and the success of songs like I Love It and it's hard to deny 2018 being his year.

    he produced five albums this year:

    his own was atrocious
    his nas one was maybe the worst nas album, which is a serious achievement
    the teyana album was good but he f----- it up (the demo version without his production touches was better)
    kids see ghosts was fine
    daytona was good
