Sep 25, 2019 Relapse/Recovery/MMLP2 may not be your personal taste, relapse isnt mine, but they certainly arent bad albums. A large amount of people enjoyed them, excluding Eminem stans, where as I dont know anyone who enjoyed Views or Scorpion, excluding Drake stans.
Sep 25, 2019 Glad to see more people seeing Revival as an 11/10 classic. I would also put Devils Night 2 mixtape, MMLP2, southpaw, Shady XV as 10/10 as well. I disagree with you on MMLP, SSLP, and TES. Terrible albums that have aged even worse. 1-3/10 albums.

Sep 25, 2019 I don't know anyone who even listened to mmlp2 besides people who are already fans of eminem—recovery, yeah, because that had some unavoidable singles, but the exact same can be said for views and scorpion. I also think you're downplaying just how wide of a reach Drake has (which Eminem certainly does too even if he isn't the chart monster drake is anymore). Even so—Take Care, NWTS, IYRT, More Life are all easily better than anything Em's released in the past decade. Honestly Views is pretty similar to Encore in that half of it is dogshit and the other half is good.

Sep 25, 2019 Views is GARBAGE through and through. I don’t know anyone who even listened to Views besides people who are already fans of Drake. MMLP2 is a fantastic album. Sure it has its problems but overall it’s a great project.

Sep 25, 2019 Lmaooooooooooooo This is an awful opinion. There are songs on each of them three projects that are better than ALL Eminem songs 2009-now sonically. Drake on more life alone is more introspective, personal and aware than Em is on all of Mmlp2 and revival. Drake doesn’t only make songs for the radio lol it’s a skill that he dominates both lanes so easily. His nine year run is crazy (he’s not the best lyrical rapper but his impact is crazy) Em fell off after 2004? Drakes run is unprecedented at this point. He’s only grown in stature every year and he continues to produce music that doesn’t need to thrive if his old work. He evolved as an artist something Eminem has failed to do since recovery (which was a forced attempt to go mainstream) Eminem’s writing ability is crazy but again, he doesn’t make great songs. There are so many songs of the three albums you listed that are sonically greater than anything since recovery.

A lot of people listened lol also, literally nobody was bumping relapse or MMLP2 (minus rap god and monster) in every day life lol. Em will always be my favourite rapper but his decline has been coming, he can’t sustain a mainstream run without the help of pop stars. Long gone are the days of TRSS and Without me. Not afraid was the last great Eminem single
Sep 25, 2019 Nah I stand by that half of Views is great. But the other half is pretty horrible. MMLP2 was cool when it dropped, but once the nostalgia kick wore off I haven’t really revisited it. I don’t think it’s a bad album but it pales in comparison to Em’s old work as well as most of Drake’s work the past decade.
