    When I listened to it on second listen after smoking a joint it felt like a movie to me. Even the 'Filler/weak" tracks kinda fit with it all. Felt like he was in a haunted house at times. It seems like he put thought into it and there is a concept but you are correct it is not as strong as Relapse conceptually. I could really do without a few tracks (Mainly because of the content and hooks not his rapping which I feel was great). My first listen to Kamikaze the reaction was a lot crazier mainly because of the super disappointment in Em, was done with him musically at that point. s----d back in now.

    I really tried to avoid using that term. I don't know if I'd say that. Not in general. Maybe in relation to his discography it's his "beautiful mess".
    So far there isn't any tracks I'd flat out skip, which after the first listen on all of his later albums there's always at least three or so (Kamikaze was just one).

    Not for me. SSLP/TES/MMLP still close to being flawless albums. This has some lows but a lot of highs. I would put it somewhere between 4-6. Would need to give it a few more spins and re-listen to Relapse, Kamikaze once more.

    I didn't say it is. I said might be, will take time and the hype to die down. I love SSLP for it's grittiness and passion. I'm 34. I came up on that s---. But his rapping skills and story telling skills on this are superior imo. And as much as I love SSLP, unlike MMLP and TES, it is far from flawless.

    I love both Kami and this one. But objectively the difference is one and it's substantial..

    Kamikaze was full of rage, aimed at firing everything and everyone cause of previous album's critics.

    This one is a whole concept, Eminem sounds relaxed af, even when he's going double-time fast.

    He sounds so effortless, smooth and natural that makes us seem easy to do what he does, but it isn't.

    Yeah for me there is 3-4 tracks that I skip out of the 17. 2/11 on Kamikaze. But yeah the skipabbles are ok to leave on in the background, usually I can't even leave it on if it makes me cringe too much. It is somewhere around Relapse/Kamikaze level for me, hard to determine if it is better though. I would put it above Kamikaze mainly because its more fine tuned and conceptual, good variety etc.

    Yeah, but we did get another album 8 months later lol.
    he even mentioned dropping more often on this album. I think we get a follow up by the end of the year. Lots of hints.
    Esp there being no S1 beats here when they did music together recently
