Jun 5, 2020 It would change the reaction a lot. Just because it was beatless, people were mad as f--- including myself. It was his first song in years and we expected a trapish or Lock it up type of beat but all we got was nothing lol. Untouchable was even a worse choice for a single. They just did the worst job with single choices. It might have been received better and definitely made better numbers otherwise. Walk on Water is as good as the best Em album opener and so is Believe. Revival also arguably had the best ending sequence on an Em album ever. I wouldn't say the album was sonically pleasing and there were some filler songs but in overall, the main problems were all about beat selections and pop features. But the same flows and lyrics over more of Kamikaze type of beats, I bet there will be many people changing their minds about it.

Jun 7, 2020 s----d because of Rick Rubin beats, P!nk, horrible mixing. The friggin Revival interlude was the best thing mixed on the whole album. Album cover was trash. Singles were pretty decent. Castle is a gem. The reason Revival flopped is the majority of the songs that were trash were unlistenable. Like who is gonna bump some Need Me for over 2 minutes to hear Pink sing over a love pop beat just to hear Em rap a love verse? The f--- even Encore Marshall would of never dropped that s--- or Offended? No way in h--- would he ever drop that back then. This is truly why we are dealing with a clone of the original Marshall Mathers. Imagine how dope MMLP2 would of sounded if it was the actual original Slim Shady who recorded it. Not a clone of him.

Revival should have been cut down to a EP and the reaction for it would have been fine. 1.) walk on water (with beat) 2.) Believe 3.) chloraseptic 4.) River 5.) Framed 6.) In your head 7.) Castle 8.)
