Wait correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought this album was a troll? All the s--- songs are dead in the middle right after one another. Didn’t it leak or something? I would rather listen to 50 year old eminem on his last album than this. 0 songs on his last s--- are as bad as a--- like that or f---ing big weenie Lmao. Spend some time tho >>>>>>>>>>>>

You don't know s--- about me. My mom lives in Florida and no I won't be. You don't even know what you're talking about. If anything I'll be on the news for something great I forgot you can't be a fan of Eminem or Tom Brady without it being a problem. Ya you're cool.

It was a decline, but it was a decline from a reallllly high peak. He sure as s--- fell but he still wasn't that far down. Still knew how to sound good rhythmically, had control of his tone, just had a better grasp on making good sounding stuff.

His new stuff, a h--- of an improvement from whatever the f--- happen 2011-17, is good, but not an earworm like his earlier s--- was. Like f---in Big Weenie is garbage but it lowkey doesn't sound bad. Whereas Not Alike or whatever is a return to form but.. not that fun to come back to.

Listening to encore right now. Solid album, and the goofy tracks are funny.

After being so used to overtechnical eminem we have these days, encore makes an easy, relaxed listen.

Was in high school when this came out...at that time I really enjoyed it..

I think it’s the only Eminem CD i bought lol

still have some classics on that album as I re hear it today.

Em was on top of the world...personal life wasn’t lol he started looking like a druggy

didn’t think it deserved as much as hate as it got...

I’ll never forget how hyped I was for this album, ever since that teaser commercial for it that I think dropped during one of the MTV awards (it was the “Mosh” instrumental).

Any album that was supposed to have We As Americans on it and ended up with Big Weenie is going to be a contradiction.

The drugs, leaks and general fame fatigue got the better of him but there’s moments of genius on Encore.

Definitely better than Revival, otherwise not sure how it compares. Nostalgia is powerful.

Weirdly enough, I wasn't even disappointed at the time. I got SSLP & MMLP, obviously was hooked in that era along with everything else (Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Offspring) I was listening to...

TES was huge, loved it - I remember getting Encore and just enjoying it. Maybe I was too young to analyse it or was just riding the wave of the era, but I don't remember being like 'ah this sucks' or being letdown at the time. I can still remember listening to it... and enjoying it. Would have been 14.

Was only in retrospect I was like 'd--- Encore sucks' in comparison.

Still pretty enjoyable though, had no idea the terribleness that was to come - it's laughable to think that was Em at his lowest now; he still had the mystique, the superhero artist mystique... as when he was coming back with Relapse... he still felt magical. I think that wore off with Recovery and the bad writing, it's like I'd never heard or seen him that blatantly corny and not aware of it or himself before.

Crazy in Love is one of his best love songs. Great track.

When you hate Eminem so much that you make yourself believe encore is better MTBMB and Kamikaze in anyway

I guess its more eminem, as in it sounds most like his prime . But yeah half of the album sucks and even if kami and mtbmb have flaws they are overall better imo than encore

It's crazy how both Encore and the Massacre seemed to suffer from the same exact problem: s-----y singles that overshadowed the dope album cuts.
There's still gems like Mosh, Like Toy Soldiers, and Mockingbird but I still consider it his 2nd worst album after Revival.
Curtain Calls was the s--- though.

The first six tracks are stellar. The rest is a big debate.

16 years later, Encore remains one of the worst albums ever released by someone with a good reputation. It's bad, real bad. Only fans should brave those waters, and honestly the best you'll find are songs he's done better before. The only exceptional thing about Encore is that is this bad and still not Eminem's worst album.

... okay and that Dre mix. The album sounds tasty somehow. Shame he's dicking about for most of it.

Imo most overhated album of his. There were many filler tracks but there were too many good ones to call it album bad. Ones of his last truly great tracks that are not just decent but has that feeling of something else are on Encore. It is still better and has more replay value than any of his post hiatus albums

You can tell Eminem was drugged up for a lot of the recording too because 50 Cent of all people outshined him on Never Enough.
