It's understandable if some just don't like the songs. But at this point, no one can deny that he is at absolute peak form as far as just pure technical ability.

But I've seen a lot of people who have said they haven't enjoyed anything from Eminem for a long time and they are actually into the album. Saying a lot since "hating on Eminem" has been the "cool" thing to do for a while now.

    Honestly... no.
And I've been, like, the #1 advocate for respecting other people's opinion and just being peaceful in here.
But honestly, I can't take serious anybody's opinion about this album if they straight up disregard it.
If someone says "I like this song, but I don't like this song" ok, maybe I can understand it.
But anybody who says this album sucks is "tone deaf". SorryNotSorry.

    I feel you on that.

I was meaning more specific for some who would say "This just ain't for me". But yeah to completely disregard it? Seems like someone would have to be insane.

    I haven't come back down from yesterday's musical-high yet.
It just keeps growing and growing on me. I literally can't believe what ONE human being is able to do with words.

And at age 48... and making it seem completely effortless. That's even more amazing to me.

    GOAT.
    Literally.

And to think that I got started in rap music by listening to Tupac, not Eminem.
    It's crazy.

It was the same for me. Pac is my favorite artist of all-time, overall.

Far as top lyricists specifically? It's Eminem and Nas.

IMO, Jay-Z has fallen behind both of them at this point in time.

Nas album with Damian Marley "Distant Relatives" is one of my all-time favorite albums.
But as a solo rapper, Eminem wins hands down.
Not saying he can rap circles around Nas at all though. But I think Em has way more resources in his pockets.

I'm sure most of you figured this out by now but... Black Magic was meant to be #1 all along, Premonition was meant to be track #2...

He actually became so good at that technical kind of fast rapping, it used to be impossible to listen to and somehow he made it fire

Yet, I feel his next project (whenever that might be), he'll change his flow again and maybe transition to something slower and simpler.

That’d be cool but I gotta say I really, really hope he chooses Tone Deaf as next single/video.

    And GREAT beat switches too!
Cuz I remember hating some/most of the beat switches on Kamikaze.
These ones are great! They really add tension to the songs.

On my first listen when I heard the line "She thinks machine washed me" --- I didn't even think of MGK.

Maybe because I was just vibing to it - but my first thought was the music industry as a "machine" or maybe Interscope specifically. As in the "commerical Interscope machine" ruined him musically.

Probably a reach, as once I re-listened I realized the MGK reference obviously. But to me, it could be seen as a triple entendre.

    1. MGK
    2. Washing Machine
    3. The "industry machine" ruined him

I know it's a reach, but I thought I'd share because #3 was the first thing that kinda popped in my head on my first listen.

I don't think so, because he mentioned Tekashi right before that. But who knows...
