Jul 22, 2021 Absolutely agree with these seven in this order. MMLP always gets praised as his best, but he was rapping at the same level as MMLP on TES/Devil's Night/8 Mile, but he was more mature as a person and was making music that I loved when I was a kid but appreciate even more as an adult. Also agree with Recovery being that high, and it's probably his most over-hated album these days. There are definitely corny lines, and he didn't sound as comfortable as he might now, but I'll never forget listening to that album for the first time after thinking he was done for after the drugged-out phase and the accent phase. The upbeat/inspirational/positive/poppy vibe really worked and was something new for him. I just think it really only worked for that one album, and he should have left it at that.

Jul 22, 2021 Listen to his proboscidea mixtape that's what I listened to and even though I didn't like some production he raps really well "grip 3:16" is the best song on that mixtape if you wanted something more specific
Jul 22, 2021 I expect the next album to be like a 7/10, like on par with MTBMB. His past albums have had high high's and low low's. He has the talent, but does he have the focus to make a project that's consistent? I wasn't too impressed with Side B. But it was a quickly made album with a lot of leftovers from MTBMB. His next project will probably be better than that.

Jul 22, 2021 For me, most of his projects post-hiatus are in the 7/10 ish range. Good, but none of them are a classic. I'd love for Em make an album that's focused, has a concept and all of the songs work together (like Jay'z 444 or Kendrick's albums). All songs sound like they belong in the same universe or whatnot. But Em hasn't really been that kind of artist. His albums are moreso a collection of songs he recorded that he likes. Some brilliant. Some wack. A lot in between.
