    It depends how you judge an album. If you like me then it has to flow good from start to finish. Bp3 doesn't do that well.

    I completely forgot about Thank You. That was my favorite Jay song for years, maybe still is. I had few dark years when Jay wasn’t on Spotify and I forgot about a lot of his work.

    I hate “Empire State of Mind” so much. It always reminded me of a Broadway musical. Plus it was the theme song for the ‘09 Yanks. Yuck.

    this thread got me relistening to BP3., i enjoyed it, it takes me back also... BP3 always felt like a Kingdom Come-esque album, they give me similar vibes

    I have been saying this literally for years lmao.

    And I like Venus vs Mars

    Also, Jay-Z has been trying to make a song like Empire State of Mind his entire career. On BP3 he finally succeeded.

    It's definitely one of Jay's subpar efforts but it isn't horrible...first 5 songs are great, then you have Already Home, On to the Next One, and I actually like Young Forever minus that horrendous last verse. I think I read that even Jay hated the way he ended that song.
