Jan 16, 2022 The quality of his recording really turns me off every time. It’s night and day between him and Cordae. Don’t understand how Em’s vocals sound so amateurish. The quality also doesn’t make Em’s impressive rapping sound as seamless as you’d like, and really points out flaws of his flows. Like why is the volume undulating and the adlibs sound so jumbled and rushed? Em would probably justify it as being raw or someone being “r-----ed” for criticizing him on it but I don’t buy it. It’s just straight up negligence and another piece of evidence of him caring more about unlistenable flows than the quality of the music he’s making
Jan 16, 2022 His parables verse wasn’t good, but it had some high tier moments in it. It started out strong, had a few good bars and flows in the center then ended strong but he tried to do way too many flows, some sounding straight out of Shady XV era and some corny a--- lines.
