Jan 16, 2022 A Pistons game on Sunday afternoon seems random for an announcement, but he did do the MMLP2 promo at a University of Michigan game so I wouldn’t completely count it out. I’m in AZ and will be watching anyway for the Suns. Here’s hoping.
Jan 16, 2022 It's not an album you introduce Eminem with imo. My English isn't that great so it might be a bit painful to read but i hope this provides some perspective. It to me is a love letter to the Classic trilogy and therefore a pretty context reliant album. Maybe his last album tbh where he didn't throw lose tracks together. But instead had a cohesive album with a decent narrative structure with solid pay offs. For example. The parking lot (skit) is basically continuation of criminal from MMLP which ends with him being shot/shooting himself (kinda fuzzy about the details). Skit leads into Rhyme or Reason which samples 'Time Of The Season' by the Zombie. Now the clever thing here is that the sample basically mimicked a ventilator/respirator which basically ties up with the skit pretty wonderfully. I can go on and on about details like these which alone makes this my 4th fav Eminem album. Even the tracks that i don't like, for example Stronger Than I Was I can appreciate with the context of the trilogy. It's basically sung from Kim's perspective and gives closure to their relationship. I just wish it was done better cuz it could have easily been a Headlight tier track if it was executed properly. Could have been a classic if it was a little tighter and less filler like Survival. Don't get me wrong I like the track but it didn't need to be on the album and also kinda reinforces the 'mountain dew' stereotype for Eminem fans lmao. A lot of people i know who visited MMLP2 after listening to first 3 albums were pretty blown away. And the latter were confused wtf was going on in the album.
