Jan 25, 2022 I get how people "check DSPs". For example, Spotify has a developer kind of stuff which you can use to integrate it with your own apps. You can literally use the API to do sorts of stuff like return the number of playlists a song is on, or for example you can check what song is currently being played by a user if you know their ID. You just need to know some python coding. I was planning on learning this myself (I'm a computer science student) but I've been busy with exams. The main problem I have with this is the DSPs themselves. If it is actually possible to obtain info about planned surprise drops via basic python coding, wouldn't that be a MASSIVE breach of security? If even I know about it, how come the Spotify developers don't? If they really don't know then they must be idiots but I assure you that if this is possible, they know about it. It's one thing being able to fetch for example all songs by an artist or the number of playlists an artist is featured on, but it's another thing for a regular user to be able to see information which shouldn't be available. There are really two possibilities. 1. Either this is intentional i.e. Spotify knows about it isn't relevant because their confidential info is kept and updated somewhere where it cant be accessed via very very low level Python coding 2. This is all legitimate and this is their secret database in which case Spotify are r-----s. Choose whichever you want to believe.

I'm sure he'd drop classics after classics if he just slowed down a bit and try to release less, be more picky, scrap the filler mediocre songs on albums he releases each and every year.
Jan 25, 2022 K If there's that much people who check DSPs by working on a streaming service we would have known the tracklists to Kamikaze, Side A and Side B a few hours after their upload to DSP servers. Eminem is still one of the biggest people in the industry and any upload on his name wouldn't go unnoticed by people who work in DSPs and leak information to the outside.
