Jan 29, 2022 This is interesting. I remember a few people mentioned how he ruined this almost radio/club song, I say almost, with being too lyrical and killing it. And here you have Cordae, saying his first sent-in verse was perfect for that vibe and then Eminem asked him to re-do it. Was it needed? Did it k--- the song? People talk about Em just not having an ear for what the song needs. I don't even mind the Remix but this is a perfect example of what may be wrong. You don't need to fast-flow k--- every song you make or every feature.
Jan 29, 2022 I called MTBMB A + B classics the second each of them were out and idgaf what anyone says. I even remember having to "fight" some people here (can't remember who though) over what's a classic and why these two albums could/couldn't be considered classics.
Jan 29, 2022 Just did the same with Kamikaze !!! That album is straight fire even the weaker songs like Normal and nice guy are fun to listen to. This Era of eminem (kamikaze/MTBMB A+B ) is pure fire ... Hope we get another amazing (maybe more introspective album) to close off his career .. I would be happy with that !
Jan 29, 2022 I think it's pretty hard with this kind of features... Like it's one thing to make a feature from scratch, to build its vibe and energy and the whole other thing is to drop the verse on existing song and make it a feature. Like it could go either way, it could stick or it would not. Like EPMD 2 is example of Em dropping the fine tuned verse that was complementing the song. And this one is the opposite, it's just off, maybe it's not bad or a miss but you feel its "offnees". Maybe it is Em's misjudgment, he just felt it differently.
