Jan 29, 2022 Yeah, it makes no sense at all. It sounds like Cordae aced the assignment with his first verse, and then Eminem randomly asked him to go harder lyrically? This further proves that Eminem really is losing his ear for music in my opinion, because Killer does not call for a lyrical verse. Not to mention the fact that Jack Harlow was also on the song with a less-lyrical verse. Why didn't Jack need to re-do his? Doesn't make sense.
Jan 29, 2022 It felt like a bit of self sabotage. The lover of flows and lyricism in me dug the Remix added-on verse on some level, sure. But does it fit the song it was tucked-on? No. He killed his own song. And as far as EPMD 2... I don't want to go back and forth on this too much, but I hated his verse and the lyrics. The beat was fine, Nas sounded fine, everything seemed in the pocket for Em to come in and do his thing and then he showed up and I was not impressed. I have not been back to this song since the day it came out. But I respect the fact you dig it.

Or if you have higher expectations for Cordae, and want a serious lyrical track... why even bring Harlow on it? He isn't that dude. You are mismatching rappers on a mismatched Remix. The whole thinking and approach to this is beyond wrong.

What was Harlow, the link to remind people of the clubbish appeal of the track while you and Cordae start trading bars? Makes no sense. Track should have been left alone. It was fine as it was.

Jan 29, 2022 I mean I love Eminem's music, been a fan since 2000 but don't get me wrong, I can't think of a rapper Eminem will beat in a verzuz and you have to think to multiple factors to come up with this response. How the competition works, the audience that is there the number of hits each one has and we're not talking numbers wise. Cause let me give you an example, Love the way you lie probably sold multiple times more than Break Ya Neck but in a verzuz LTWYL would put people to sleep. Also same with J. Cole, can't think of a rapper J cole would do good against in a verzuz.
